Lithium batteries that live in an EV battery pack perform best and last the longest when they operate in a relatively narrow temperature window of 68- to 100 -degrees F. OEMs know this, and have strategies to condition the batteries accordingly, but this is something that is generally left unaddressed in the conversion space – until now.
For our builders who deliver vehicles to customers who live in the extreme climates, race their EV conversion, or primarily use the CCS Fast Charging system with our Atom Drive EV Powertrain system, you can now add a Sub-Ambient Battery Cooling System that will keep battery temperatures in check under just about any condition. Considering that an EV’s batteries are the most expensive part of any EV, this feature can pay for itself by extending the life of the battery pack.
